Put Some Cool Icons on a Folder on Windows 7 and Higher

  1. Right-Click the folder that you want icon-changed.
  2. Click "Properties" and click the "Customize" tab, and then "Change Icon...".
  3. Click "Browse..."
  4. Your pre-set destination should be:  %SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll if not, go to "system32" and in the Search box, type "imageres.dll" (without quotes)
  5. Click it.
  6. If you have Windows 8, there will be more icons!
  7. Double-click the icon you want.
