Create Keyboard Shortcuts for Programs in Windows XP



1. Right-click the desktop shortcut or program icon in the Start menu.

2. Click Properties.

3. Click the Shortcut tab. You'll see a window that is similar to the following:

4. Click in the Shortcut Key box.

5. Press the the combination of keys you want to use to start the program. The shortcut combination must consist of one character (letter, number, or symbol) plus at least two of the following three keys: CTRL, ALT, and SHIFT. For example, CTRL+ALT+P, CTRL+SHIFT+Z, or SHIFT+ALT+X.



6. Click OK. Now, every time that you press this key combination, Windows XP will automatically load the program.
