Change an Icon in Windows 7



Perhaps you have a Windows 7 computer/laptop and you think your icons need to be "jazzed up". If so, this is the article for you.146
  1. Right click the folder you want to change.
  2. Click on Properties at the bottom of the drop-down list.
  3. Select "Customize"
  4. Look at the bottom of the new window for "Folder Icons"
  5. Click "Change Icons".
  6. Navigate through the list of Default Windows Icons.
  7. Click "OK" after selecting your icon.
  8. Click Apply.
  9. Enjoy!
Custom Icons
1.     Go to IconFinder
2.     Type in a search term such as "Tree".
3.     Click on the image of your choice.
4.     Click the green button saying "ICO"
5.     Let it download and place in a file of your choice.
6.     Right click the folder you want to change.
7.     Click on Properties at the bottom of the drop-down list.
8.     Select "Customize".
9.     Look at the bottom of the new window for "Folder Icons".
10. Click "Change Icons".
11. Select "Browse" and locate the icon in its folder.
12. Click open.
13. Ensure the icon is selected before clicking "OK".
14. Click Apply.
15. Enjoy!
