Increase the Internet Speed in Windows 7

1. Click on the Start button and in the StartSearch box type “Run” (without quotes). Then select the “Run” option appearing in the Start menu.
2. A new dialog box will appear on your monitor screen and in the text box type “gpedit.msc” or “gpedit” to open Local Group Policy Editor.
3. Then in the Local Group Policy Editor window on the left pane click on Administrative templates categorized under Computer Configuration.
4. Now select Network to expand it, and then click on Qos Packet scheduler option appearing on the right pane under Network.
5. Then you make a double click on Limit Reservable Bandwidth option appearing on the right pane of the Local Group Policy Editor window.
6. By default Limit Reservable bandwidth is not configured and Windows 7 reserves 20% of the total bandwidth for its use. For can make free this bandwidth and utilize it for own use.
7. For using reserved bandwidth you have to click on “Enable” checkbox and put 0(zero) in bandwidth limit. Now click Apply and Ok to finish the procedure.
8. Click on the Start button and select Control panel from the Start menu.
9. Then Click on Network and Internet option present in the Control Panel window
10. Open Network and Sharing Center. You can also open it through the taskbar.
11. Click on the icon located at the right side of the taskbar.
12. Then network and Sharing center window appears on your screen, it contains the list of network connection available for your computer setup/laptop.

14. You can also enhance the internet speed in windows 7 computer by modifying initialization file by following the procedure mentioned below:
