Become the System User in Windows XP

1.     Get to the "Run" dialog. Press "Start" then "Run."

2.     Open the Command Prompt. Type "cmd" into the box without the quotes, and press "OK."

3.     A DOS windows should appear.

4.     Find the current system time in military format. Look at the clock, and then mentally convert it to military format.

5.     Type "at" into the command prompt.

6.     If the prompt says "access denied, " you are out of luck. Otherwise, continue.

7.     Add one minute to the military-formatted time. We'll call this new time x.

8.     Type "at x /interactive cmd.exe" without the quotes.

9.     Wait about a minute... & There you go! You now have a command prompt with SYSTEM privileges!

10.  If you want to run a different program, simply find the name of its executable, then change "cmd.exe" to the name of the executable file.
